Every year the Club holds the Club Championships over two consecutive Saturdays.  This is a hugely fun and popular event, followed by pizza, cake and a medal ceremony.  Every swimmer at the club is invited to participate in the following events:

  • 50m Butterfly (25m for the 9 & under/age 10)
  • 50m Backstroke
  • 50m Breastroke
  • 50m Freestyle
  • 100m Individual Medley

The fastest four girls and boys then go on to compete in a 200m Individual Medley.

The swimmers compete in the following categories:

  • 9 and under boys and girls
  • Age 10 boys and girls
  • Age 11 boys and girls
  • Age 12 and over boys and girls

Medals are presented to the first three in each event and there is a Club Champion for the girls and for the boys.  The President also gives a special award "The President Award" to someone who has contributed above and beyond during the year and the Lead Coach also presents the "McMahon Cup" for the most improved swimmer.
